ACWHTR LIVE
The American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair (ACWHTR) is committed to advancing the field of wound care through education, research, and advocacy. The 2024 ACWHTR Conference offers live surgery, expert panelists, and clinical case studies to promote modern wound healing practices. The 2024 agenda expands the scope of topics to include prevention, mental health challenges and longitudinal care plans. Patients with wounds suffer on many levels, not only clinical, and the ACWHTR will provide the educational platform to expand our reach, increase the members of our treatment teams, and try to lower the unacceptably high wound recurrence rates that exist today. At the completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
- Apply a comprehensive, longitudinal post healing care plan for wound care patients.
- Appreciate the compounding impacts of stressors, personal tragedy, natural disasters experienced by patients with non-healing wounds.
- Describe new and upcoming proposed and enacted policies from HHS with supporting data to implement cost-effective treatment opportunities.
In addition to providing a forum for wound care practitioners, the conference offers opportunities for CME credit. ACWHTR has engaged Healogics to administer the CME component of the conference.
Healogics is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Healogics designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Providers should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirement(s) of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
CME Completion Requirements:
